An Ohio federal district court granted in part Meyer Tool Inc.’s motion for summary judgment on a terminated female night shift machinist’s claims of disability discrimination in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act, retaliation in violation of the Family Medical Leave Act, and wage discrimination. The employer had a legitimate, non-discriminatory reason for terminating the machinist based on her multiple violations of company policy, and its reason wasn’t a pretext for retaliation related to her approved FMLA leave, the court said.
